About

With a background in color and material design and forecasting, I have helped shape the visual and tactile identity of global brands. My approach is grounded in research, art, and science, blending aesthetics with functionality to create thoughtful, well-executed designs.

Throughout my career, I have led design teams, collaborated with cross-functional partners, and worked with suppliers to explore new possibilities in color and materials. I specialize in translating brand identities into tangible products that connect with consumers on both a visual and emotional level.

I have worked with brands such as Nike, New Balance, HOKA, Teva, Patagonia, Sorel, Herman Miller, Design Within Reach, and Knoll, applying my expertise in forecasting and CMF design to enhance brand storytelling and consumer engagement.

Today, I continue to collaborate with brands to develop color and material strategies, offering insights on trends, product storytelling, and design solutions.

“Laura has an outstanding understanding of color; including color trend, color theory, and color application. She also has extensive hands-on experience with color application on footwear and apparel, as well as a strong sense of materials for both. Laura has strong convictions, an optimistic outlook, and is loyal, and is committed to her craft.”

— Kim Kovel, Former Senior Director of Aesthetics & Exploration, Nike Inc.

“Laura has a great eye for color. She is great at researching market trends, and taking them into account while also being very capable of creating a unique color story to each brand. Equal to her abilities in color, color application, materials, and trend, Laura is incredibly easy to work with. She is focused but also enjoys what she is doing.”

— Scott Radabaugh, Director of Design, Rabbit Running
